  • What is your return policy?

Returns are super easy. We want to make sure that you are happy with the final product, which is why we offer a 10 day return policy with proof of purchase. We understand that lighting can be tricky, and that sometimes the fixture may not be what you had in mind once it’s in the space. All returns must be in the original packing and cannot be installed. This means that the wires can not be cut or altered.

  • How do I ensure that my lighting is to code and will pass inspection?

There are many rules when it comes to lighting, in Canada lights should have 7 ft. of clearance from the bottom of the fixture to the ground unless it is over a table or island. Also, all lights in Canada and in The United States must meet their respective standards (e.g. CUL and CETL are the two most common certifications for lighting products in Canada and for The United States UL and ETL are the two most common).

  • Can I put indoor lights outside?

No, you can not. Lights placed outdoors must be outdoor rated or they will rust and not be warrantied.

  • Can I put LED bulbs in my fixture?

LED bulbs can be put in almost every fixture. However, if the light has a transformer, then it will need to be compatible with LED.

  • Is there a guideline for the size of a fixture?

There is no exact guideline. We encourage our customers to be creative. Try to envision the fixture in the space to ensure that it is the correct size and style.

  • How high should I hang my light above my table?

When hanging a light above a table or island, it is generally recommend to hang 3 feet above the surface.

  • What are Kelvins?

Kelvins measure the colour temperature of the light. Most commonly ranging from 2200K (a very warm tone of light) to 5000K (a very cool white tone of light). Kelvins do not measure brightness or light output.

  • What are Lumens?

Lumens measure the overall light output. The higher the lumens the brighter the light. An LED bulbs ranging from 500-800 lumens would generally be considered equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent bulb.

  • What is integrated LED?

Integrated LED fixtures have built in LED modules that are not like a standard light bulb. Built-in LED lights have allowed for many new design variations and sleeker looks. These lights generally have very long life expectancies. However, most LED integrated fixtures do not have changeable light sources. It is always good to check the life expectancy of the LED light, the warranty and if it is interchangeable or not.

  • How long is 50,000 hours?

Is 11.42 years based on 12 hours of use a day, 22.83 years based on 6 hours a day, and 45.66 years based on 3 hours a day.
